fan . tast . tes, a blog about speculative fictions.
human beings: the creatures who ask, “WHAT IF?”
fictions: all of the human-created stuff that answers the question, “WHAT IF?” The stuff of fiction may be art work, stories, poetry, music, dance. . . .everything.
speculative fictions: in a way, all fictions are speculative fictions. But I mean those fictions that not only answer “WHAT IF?” but scream it, shout it, whisper it, croon it. . .
My name is Jane Wiseman, and this is a blog about the stuff I love.
SEE MY AUTHOR WEB SITE, https://janemwiseman.com, for information about my nine-book interconnected fantasy series, STORMCLOUDS/HARBINGERS, and an associated stand-alone novel.

My parents were not much for reading, but when I grew up and moved out, fantasy books caught my attention. Dragonriders of Pern (McCaffrey) and Magic Kingdom For Sale (Terry Brooks) were the first ones, with the latter author very close to #1 on my list of favorites. I have read all of his books, and long for him to write more. *May the Sword of Shanara glisten for eternity* Fantasy adventure reading opens a whole new world, a new life, an escape from drugdery that can only be reached through individual visualization of the author’s words. Jane, This is wishing you the best of the best with your blog *wink*. Thanks for inviting me to check it out.

Could it be just as much fun to “live” a fantasy (at least vicariously!) as it is to read one?
